TONGUE SCRAPPER
Oral hygiene is not only about the mouth and teeth; the tongue is also involved.
The tongue has a rough surface with small crevices where bacteria and food debris can accumulate.
A tongue scraper mechanically removes the bacteria responsible for bad breath and those that can disrupt the oral microbiota—an imbalance that can be noticed through changes in the tongue's color and sensitivity.
The tongue scraper is an accessory that ensures fresh breath and a healthy mouth; it has existed since ancient times. The use of this tool primarily helps combat halitosis - bad breath - and according to Ayurvedic medicine, it also helps strengthen the immune system by naturally detoxifying the mouth.
In addition, the tongue scraper acts on the natural self-regulation of saliva and thus contributes to better digestion.
If this tool is recommended to ensure a healthier mouth, it is also appreciated for its effect on one of the 6 senses: taste.
After several days of use, the tongue is freed from the layer of food residues and bacteria, leaving the taste buds in full swing.
Usage: open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue as much as possible.
- Hold the tongue scraper with both hands, by its two ends. Place it at the back of the tongue and gently scrape the tongue from back to front.
- Repeat the action 3 to 5 times, while rinsing the tongue scraper well between each use.
- At the end of the treatment, rinse the tongue scraper with hot water and dry it. It is best to store it in a case or in a drawer afterwards.
It is not necessarily required to use the tongue scraper every day of the year.
After an initial period of use lasting several days, you will quickly notice when your tongue will need it again (bad breath upon waking, white tongue, etc.)
